Cars from Japan — domestic auctions and JDM

Japan’s domestic market is an auction system with the most honest condition grading in the world: independent auction inspectors record every scratch on the auction sheet, and that grade cannot be faked. VIPCAR.International covers the full cycle of Japanese cars: bids through resident partners, collector and sports JDM examples, Toyota and Lexus for the CIS and Central Asian markets, classics for collectors. Before the bid you receive the auction sheet with a translation and a breakdown: condition grade, damage map, genuine mileage certified by the auction. After the win — port, insured container, delivery and paperwork at destination. Right-hand drive is a factor of the destination market: we’ll tell you where it is a restriction and where it is a price advantage.

What is an auction sheet?

The auction inspector’s official report: condition grade (typically 3.5 to 5), a map of all defects, certified mileage. You see it translated before the bid.

Is the mileage really genuine?

Mileage at Japanese auctions is certified by the auction system; tampering means a lifetime seller ban.

What is most often shipped?

Toyota and Lexus for the CIS, sports JDM (GT-R, Supra, NSX) and kei classics for collectors.
